Newcastle United Sign Aaron Ramsdale on Loan
In a significant move during the 2025 summer transfer window, Newcastle United have secured the services of England international goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale on a season-long loan from Southampton. Ramsdale joins Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest and Antonio Cordero from Malaga as the Magpies' third signing of the summer.

His standout 2022/23 season with Arsenal saw him keep 14 clean sheets and earn a PFA Team of the Year selection, as well as making his senior England debut and featuring in the 2022 FIFA World Cup squad.
However, Ramsdale's time at Southampton was challenging, as he conceded 66 goals and kept only three clean sheets in 30 Premier League appearances last season, which resulted in the Saints' relegation. He also underwent finger surgery, causing a period out of the team.
