Gloria Gaynor resides in a residence reminiscent of the living quarters from the Golden Girls television show.
In the glittering world of disco, one name stands out - Gloria Gaynor. Born in 1943 in the US state of New Jersey, Gaynor rose to fame in the 70s and 80s with chart-topping hits like "I Will Survive" and "I Am What I Am". Today, she continues to shine, not just on the dancefloor, but also in her personal life.
Gaynor's niece affectionately refers to her and her best friend as the "Golden Girls". They live together in a shared apartment, cooking meals and spending their days together. The pair, both divorcees, find comfort and companionship in each other's company.
Gaynor attributes her life to her faith. She states that she does not know where she would be without it. Her religious beliefs guide her, particularly in matters of trust. Every Sunday, she attends church, and if she is not home, she watches online sermons.
In December, Gaynor will be honoured for her artistic lifetime achievement by the Kennedy Center, Washington DC's largest cultural institution. This prestigious awards ceremony will take place at the opera house of the Kennedy Center on December 7. Interestingly, the Kennedy Center is under the control of US President Trump.
Gaynor was previously married to her manager Linwood Simon from 1979 to 2005. However, as of now, she does not have a new love in her life. She is open to whatever God has in store for her, expressing a belief that something will come, but God likes to surprise us.
Despite being single, Gaynor remains optimistic about the future. She continues to live her life with grace and faith, much like the resilient characters she portrayed in her iconic songs. As she moves forward, we can't help but feel inspired by her unwavering spirit and her commitment to her beliefs.
