Global Tech Giant Eyes Chilean Green Hydrogen Market

A global technology leader in electrification, the company boasts an extensive presence in over 140 countries and employs more than 50,000 people worldwide. It specialises in integrated 'Grid-to-Stack' solutions, covering all electrical technology aspects of a project. Recently, it has shown interest in the Chilean market for green hydrogen development.

Rafael Pereira, Segment Sales Manager - Renewables and Datacenters LAM, highlighted the company's experience in offering 'Grid-to-Stack' solutions in Chile. The portfolio ranges from high-voltage grid connection to electrolyzer terminals, making it suitable for off-grid systems.

Raúl Montano, Global Solution Manager Hydrogen, acknowledged challenges in integrating renewable energies and large-scale industrial loads. The company is currently in talks with leading companies developing green hydrogen and derivative projects in Chile to address these issues.

Jorge Tamayo, Business Development Manager - Hydrogen & Sustainability, has mentioned initial collaborations with companies for CapEx estimates and preliminary designs. Rebeca Poleo, president of the Chilean Hydrogen Association (H2 Chile), emphasised the importance of events like Hyvolution in fostering such industry partnerships.
