Global leader S&P will stage the World Hydrogen Summit in India.
S&P Global Commodity Insights is set to host the first annual World Hydrogen India conference in New Delhi from September 25 to 26. The event, organized by the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, aims to bring together decision-makers and industry experts to discuss regulatory frameworks, investment opportunities, and technological innovations in India's hydrogen economy.
The conference will focus on practical applications of hydrogen across hard-to-abate sectors like fertilizers, refineries, chemicals, steel, maritime, and mobility sectors. It will address critical challenges and opportunities defining the hydrogen sector's trajectory, including the implementation of the National Green Hydrogen Mission, emerging trade dynamics, and project financing strategies.
The conference will also discuss complex offtake and financial structures driving hydrogen project bankability and shaping the sector's capital landscape. Another key theme covered is India's emergence as a low carbon hydrogen export powerhouse. Assessing trade flows, pricing dynamics, and strategic partnerships that will reshape international energy markets is another important topic on the agenda.
The event marks a crucial step in the ongoing push to scale India's green hydrogen ecosystem from pilot stage to commercially viable operations. Over 250 delegates are expected to attend the conference, including energy and infrastructure CEOs, institutional investors, senior policy makers, and nation's energy ministers such as Shri Pralhad Joshi, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, and Shri Abhay Bakre, who will be delivering keynote and special addresses.
Gauri Jauhar, Executive Director of Global Energy Transitions and Clean Tech Consulting at S&P Global Commodity Insights, is presenting the conference in Delhi. S&P Global experts will provide global data, analysis, and insights during the conference. The conference is taking place at the Pullman New Delhi Aerocity.
Dave Ernsberger, Co-President of S&P Global Commodity Insights, stated that India is a global bright spot for energy markets and that the conference will support the nation's energy transition with a focus on hydrogen and decarbonization. S&P Global Commodity Insights aims to empower leaders and industry experts with relevant insights and data to help ensure secure and affordable markets for years to come.
