A Historic Global Music Album Unites the World

The world of music has witnessed a groundbreaking event with the release of "The World Album - International Artists Project." This monumental album, created by California-based producer Brandon Beckwith, features artists born or raised in every country worldwide.

The album, which took two years to complete, includes 200 songs performed by 200 artists, representing all nations, sung in 93 different languages and spanning 121 musical genres and sub-genres. With a total music length of approximately 12.5 hours, it is a massive and diverse musical compilation.

One of the musicians contributing to this unique project is Estonia's Paula Hakkaja, known as Freya Algiz. Freya, a human rights graduate and social rights activist, sees the album as an opportunity to share a dream and know that someone else is listening. She co-founded the co-operative record label Field Conspiracy, promoting democratic ownership, flat hierarchies, fair royalty distribution, skill-sharing across disciplines, and community-backed promotion.

Freya first discovered her creative voice using modular synthesizers and contributes an ethereal, experimental ambient piece to the album. The album's creator, Beckwith, describes the project as being about peace and unity, a project that is particularly relevant in an era of chaos and isolation.

Another notable artist on the album is Singapore’s IanYS, whose track combines hip-hop and emo guitar elements, and Monaco’s Olivia Dorato, whose song blends Afrobeat with Mediterranean influences, showcasing the album’s worldwide cultural diversity and musical innovation.

The album's release is not just about music recognition. It aims to foster global unity through the universal language of music, promoting cultural exchange and awareness. It is positioned for submission as Best Global Music Album at the Grammy Awards and is under review for three Guinness World Records, including the largest collaborative music project.

Education systems and cultural festivals worldwide are also targeted as future platforms for the album. An interactive website is a feature of the final release of the album, mapping every song's origin and story. This interactive feature allows listeners to delve deeper into the rich tapestry of musical talent that the album presents.

With such a grand vision, "The World Album" is more than just a musical project. It is a celebration of cultural diversity and unity, with significant ambitions in music recognition, philanthropy, and education. As Freya Algiz puts it, it is an opportunity to share a dream and know that someone else is listening.
