Glen Powell Heating Up With 'The Running Man', 'Captain Planet' Series & More
Actor Glen Powell has been making waves with his latest projects. He's set to star in Edgar Wright's adaptation of Stephen King's 'The Running Man'. Powell, a fan of the '90s cartoon 'Captain Planet and the Planeteers', was previously attached to a big-screen adaptation of the series but is no longer involved.
Powell's involvement in the 'Captain Planet' movie project has since evolved. The film is now in the works as a Netflix live-action series, with Tara Hernandez serving as writer and executive producer. Leonardo DiCaprio, who was previously attached as a producer, remains on board for the series. Meanwhile, Powell continues to expand his horizons, with a third installment of 'Top Gun' in the pipeline, featuring the actor. Additionally, he's set to star in J.J. Abrams' upcoming film, 'Ghostwriter'.
