Glamour and glory shine at the 16th Governors Awards red carpet

The 16th Governors Awards, held in Los Angeles on Sunday, was a star-studded event honouring four distinguished industry figures. The evening saw celebrities dazzle on the red carpet, with notable appearances from Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Lopez, and Natalie Portman.

Ariana Grande, 32, kicked off the glamour in a delicate one-shoulder pale pink gown, her hair styled in a chic updo. Meanwhile, Jennifer Lawrence, 35, put on a leggy display in an off-the-shoulder cream gown with a daring thigh-high slit. Natalie Portman, 44, stunned in a heavily embellished pale blue mini dress that showed off her legs.

Jennifer Lopez, 56, made a dramatic entrance in a busty grey and black ball gown, accompanied by long, elegant black velvet opera gloves. Sydney Sweeney, 28, turned heads in a shimmering sleeveless gown that accentuated her cleavage and hourglass curves, her hair styled in classic Marilyn Monroe inspired curls.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences honoured Debbie Allen, Tom Cruise, Wynn Thomas, and Angela Bassett with the Academy Honorary Award, while Dolly Parton received the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award. The Governors Awards continues to recognise and celebrate the outstanding contributions of these industry figures.
