Girl perishes in powerful wave pool at water-themed park; mother, who was present, affirms it was the most forceful wave experience she had ever encountered
In a tragic turn of events, a four-year-old girl lost her life following an incident at Waterworld in Stoke-on-Trent on Monday.
Staffordshire Police were called to the scene after the girl was found in critical condition in the wave pool. Waterworld staff and bystanders immediately began performing CPR, but despite their best efforts, the girl passed away a short while later.

Another woman who witnessed the incident had to leave the area as her own child did not want to see the little girl on the floor.
