Gießen Launches 'On-Site Energy Consultation' for Climate-Friendly Homes

Gießen, in collaboration with the Hessian Energy Agency (LEA Hesse), is launching the 'On-site Energy Consultation' campaign for the third year running. The initiative aims to enhance energy efficiency and climate protection in residential buildings, focusing on single and two-family homes.

The campaign, set to run from September 10 to November 19, 2025, targets homeowners in specific areas of Gießen, including the Evangelical Settlement and the Professor's Quarter. It kicks off on September 10 at 6:00 PM at the Technical University of Middle Hesse, with Mayor Alexander Wright welcoming attendees and local energy providers and banks offering information. The campaign's primary goal is to boost the energy renovation quota and fortify long-term climate protection.

The 'On-site Energy Consultation' campaign provides free, personalized consultations in homeowners' homes. These consultations focus on efficient heat protection, modern heating technology, and the integration of renewable energy sources. Interested homeowners can register online, via email at klimaschutz@giessen.de, or by calling 0641 306-2110 to schedule an appointment.
