Giant killer snake hunt begins in the depths of the jungle, starring Jack Black and Paul Rudd in the initial trailer for Anaconda, a new film production.
In the jungles of the Amazon, a new adventure unfolds as Jack Black and Paul Rudd step into the shoes of Doug and Griff, two characters going through a midlife crisis. Their solution? A daring plan to remake their favorite movie, Anaconda.
Directed by Tom Gormican and co-written with Kevin Etten, the film is set to hit theaters on December 25, 2022. The trailer, released by Sony, features a captivating soundtrack by none other than Sir Mix-a-Lot, promising an adrenaline-pumping experience.
The upcoming movie is a sequel to the 1997 film, which was part of a low-budget B-movie franchise consisting of four films. Anaconda (2022) is not directly related to the Lake Placid crossover film, but the franchise does include a crossover with the Lake Placid franchise, revolving around a giant killer crocodile.
The movie stars Black as Doug, a wedding videographer, and Rudd as Griff, a background actor. The cast also includes Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Selton Mello, Daniela Melchior, Ione Skye, and Ben Lawson.
The story begins with the team renting a snake for one of the first scenes, only for it to be killed. In a questionable decision, they venture deeper into the jungle to find a bigger snake, which ends up hunting them.
Filming for the movie wrapped up in February of this year, with the team braving the Amazon wilderness to capture authentic on-location shots.
Anaconda is one of the upcoming movies mentioned in an article highlighting films set for release in 2025 and beyond. With its thrilling plot and star-studded cast, Anaconda is sure to be a must-watch for fans of the original and new audiences alike.
