On VDV Day in Yekaterinburg, Russia, a remarkable skydiving event took place that set a new record. A total of 181 parachutists, including world champion skydiving athlete Alexander Kasakov, participated in this large-scale formation jump.
The event, which honoured the Russian Airborne Troops, showcased the participants' extraordinary coordination and skill. The highlight of the performance was the unfurling of the largest VDV flag ever, measuring a colossal 45.5 meters in length and 27.5 meters in width. This flag, weighing 170 kilograms, covered an area of 1200 square meters, making it a truly impressive sight to behold.
Residents of Yekaterinburg were fortunate to witness this spectacle, as the skydivers jumped near the Water Tower in Historical Square at the Logino aerodrome. This performance not only demonstrated the capabilities and precision of airborne units but also set a new Russian record in Sverdlovsk Oblast.
