Snowfall in Mid-Range Mountains and Alps - Germany’s unexpected snowstorm disrupts travel and blankets regions in white

Snow has swept across parts of Germany this week, bringing slippery roads and wintery scenes. The German Meteorological Service (DWD) issued warnings as fresh snowfall created hazardous conditions in several regions. The cold snap began on Monday, with snow falling across Bavaria and the Alps. The highest peaks saw up to 20 centimetres, while the Allgäu region recorded around five centimetres. By Tuesday night, flurries had spread further. The sudden snowfall has led to difficult driving conditions in many areas. Authorities continue to monitor the situation as winter services work to keep roads safe. More updates are expected if the cold weather persists.
