Germany’s handball women dominate Switzerland 35:17 ahead of World Championship

Germany’s women’s handball team has secured a convincing 35:17 victory over Switzerland in their latest warm-up match. The win comes as the squad fine-tunes its form ahead of the upcoming World Championship on home soil. Their tournament campaign begins with a clash against Iceland on December 1.

The match started slowly for Germany, with missed shots and sloppy passing disrupting their rhythm. Despite the offensive struggles, their defence remained solid, keeping them narrowly ahead at halftime. Goalkeeper Katharina Filter played a key role, making six crucial saves in the opening period.

Germany’s final warm-up match against Switzerland takes place on December 3 before their World Championship opener. The team’s strong defensive display and second-half surge against Switzerland suggest they are building momentum. Their first tournament test arrives on December 1, when they face Iceland in front of home fans.
