Germany’s First Phygital Sports Championship Unveils $5M Prize Pool for November 30

The inaugural German Phygital Sports Championship is set for November 30, offering an international finals prize pool of $5 million. This innovative event, merging esports and traditional athletics, is part of a global phenomenon expanding into Germany.

Phygital Sports League (PSL) is a new concept aiming to be inclusive, fostering team spirit among gamers, athletes, and hybrids of both. Each match consists of two phases: a digital round and a physical round, with combined scores determining the winner.

The PSL includes three disciplines: Phygital Football, Phygital Basketball, and Phygital Dancing. Matches vary in duration. For instance, Phygital Football matches last 30 minutes, with 9 minutes in the digital round and 13 minutes in the physical round. Phygital Basketball matches are 20 minutes long, split equally between digital and physical rounds. Phygital Dancing performances last 15 minutes, with 12 minutes in the digital round and 3 minutes in the physical round.

The PSL offers clubs a solution to engage members through the Phygital LigaBox, blending digital and real-world experiences.

The PSL's inaugural German Championship promises excitement, with a substantial prize pool. Despite the search results lacking information about the founder or leader, the league's innovative concept and global presence hint at a promising future for phygital sports in Germany.
