DEB Sports Director Christian Kunast said, "We would have liked to have resolved this earlier, but it wasn't possible." Stützle is excited to participate in his second WM, hoping to make up for his early exit in 2022 due to a knee injury and his club's veto on his participation last year due to a shoulder injury.
Tim Stützle is expected to arrive in Herning on Sunday and train with the DEB team on Monday morning. Afterward, the team anticipates some serious competition, with Stützle's addition kicking the national squad into high gear.
