Germany braces for wild December weather swings and possible snow chaos

A mixed week of weather lies ahead, with temperatures ranging from freezing nights to unseasonably warm days. While early December will bring fog, patchy rain and calm spells, the end of the week could see snow disrupting travel in parts of southern Germany.

The week begins on Monday with daytime highs of +9 to +11 °C under variable cloud cover. By nightfall, temperatures will drop to -2 °C, with fog forming but no rain expected.

The forecast highlights a sharp contrast between midweek warmth and a wintry end to the week. Southern and southeastern areas should prepare for possible travel delays as snow accumulates on roads. Residents are advised to monitor updates, especially if planning journeys in affected regions.
