Germany braces for sudden cold snap and possible snow this weekend

Prepare for a chilly weekend ahead, residents. Rain and a significant drop in temperatures are expected, with snow possibly making its first watch in the region. The weather has been unpredictable, so it's best to be ready.

Temperatures will reach up to 18°C (64°F) on Thursday, but a sharp cold snap is set to sweep across Germany by Friday night. On Friday, Braunschweig may see highs of 12°C (54°F), followed by 6°C (43°F) on Saturday. By Sunday morning, temperatures are expected to drop to 2°C (36°F).

The rain on Saturday could turn into snow, though a lasting snow cover is unlikely. Munich might even see its first snow of the season this weekend. It's recommended to fit cars with winter tires and get out your winter coats in preparation.

The cool weather is expected to linger into next week, so residents should stay prepared. While snow is possible, a lasting snow cover is unlikely. Keep an eye on the forecast for updates.
