Michelle Hunziker, a 48-year-old Swiss-Italian presenter, is returning to German television on May 28. She will be a team captain on the panel show "Who is it?" which airs on ProSieben and Joyn at 8:15 PM.

Alongside competitor Chris Tall, 33, Hunziker will work with a celebrity in five new episodes of the show. The goal is to guess unusual traits of previously unknown candidates in various rounds.

Hunziker began her television career in Germany in the late 1990s. She presented the Golden Camera awards in 1998 alongside Thomas Gottschalk, 75. After winning the German Film and Television Award, she joined RTL in 2002, co-hosting the casting show "Germany's Got Talent" with Carsten Spengemann until 2004.

In 2009, she took on a major modulating job in German TV, co-hosting "Wetten, dass..?" alongside Gottschalk, and later returned as an assistant to the new host Markus Lanz in 2013.

From 2012 onwards, Hunziker also held several jury roles on TV shows such as "Germany's Got Talent - Kids", "Das Supertalent", "Superkids", "Superpets", and "Pretty in Plush".

In 2014, she presented the Golden Camera awards again, this time with Hape Kerkeling. In 2021 and 2022, she returned to Saturday night shows, appearing alongside Gottschalk in the revival episodes of "Wetten, dass..?".

Previously, she also participated in a panel show, "Big Performance - Who is the Star?".

As announced in October 2024, Hunziker will replace Ralf Schmitz, who appeared in the first season of "Who is it?". Speaking about the new role, Hunziker stated, "I love guessing games.". She expressed her affection for Germany and her readiness for future opportunities, stating, "There are already some nice ideas, and if the right one comes along, I'd be happy to do it."

Regarding her upcoming commitments, there are no official announcements beyond her participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 grand final, which took place in Basel, Switzerland in May 2025.
