Entering the Jungle Camp: 'Sensitive Topics' Right from the Start - German stars face brutal jungle challenges in I’m a Celebrity 2026
Twelve German celebrities have entered the Australian jungle for the 2026 season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!. Over the next 17 days, they will battle extreme heat, gruelling challenges, and campfire debates—all while competing for a €100,000 prize.
The contestants arrived with two personal luxury items each, with many opting for pillows to ease their stay in the harsh conditions.
Temperatures in the jungle are set to climb as high as 37°C (99°F) in the coming days. The group has already split into two smaller camps, one of which is named Snake Rock. This camp includes Samira Yavuz, Simone Ballack, Stephen Dürr, Hubert Fella, and Nicole Belstler-Boettcher.
Before entering, two contestants chose pillows as their comfort items. Patrick Romer brought a pillow featuring his friend Annelie and his favourite animal. Nicole Belstler-Boettcher packed a pillowcase from her mother and scents from her children. Others also prioritised sleep, with pillows proving a popular choice. Musician Gil Ofarim faced an awkward reception from fellow contestants due to past allegations of antisemitism. He later admitted that public criticism had affected him deeply and expressed regret for his handling of the situation. To secure better meals, the celebrities must complete a series of physical and mental challenges. The tough living conditions and campfire discussions are expected to test their resilience over the next two and a half weeks.
The contestants will endure extreme heat, limited food, and intense challenges as they vie for the €100,000 reward. With tensions already surfacing, the jungle is set to push them to their limits—both physically and emotionally.
