German sprinter Lückenkemper continues to hold the title of fastest.

In the bustling city of Dresden, from July 31 to August 3, the German Athletics Championships took centre stage. The event, marked by fierce competition and personal bests, saw Gina Lückenkemper retain her title in the women's 100m sprint, demonstrating her dominance in sprinting.

Lückenkemper clocked an impressive 11.17 seconds in the final, securing her sixth German 100m title. Not far behind were Owen Ansah and Deniz Almaz, who finished in second and third places with times of 10.23 seconds and 10.25 seconds respectively. Sophia Junk and Sina Mayer completed the top five, with Junk recording a time of 11.33 seconds and Mayer finishing in 11.37 seconds.

Meanwhile, in the discus throw, Marike Steinacker claimed victory with a throw of 65.56 meters, ending Kristin Pudenz's four-year winning streak. Pudenz finished third with a throw of 63.25 meters, while Shanice Craft and Claudine Vita took the second and fourth spots with throws of 64.05 meters and 61.12 meters respectively.

Julian Weber continued his dominance in the javelin throw, securing his fifth consecutive title with a throw of 84.36 meters. Tobias Potye, known for his prowess in middle-distance events, won the high jump title with a leap of 2.26 meters, equalling his season's best.
