Nature Film Award for Orangutan Doc and Bear Reportage - German Nature Film Prize Awards 10,000 Euros Each to 'Orang-Utans' and 'Dangerously Close'

The German Nature Film Prize has announced its winners, with two documentaries each receiving a 10,000 euro prize. 'Orang-Utans - The Unknown Great Apes' won in the 'Wild Nature' category, while 'Dangerously Close - When Bears Attack' took the 'Man and Nature' award.

In the 'Wild Nature' category, 'Orang-Utans - The Unknown Great Apes' stood out. Produced by Cathal Fess and Eduard Zimmermann, the documentary offers sensitive glimpses into the lives of endangered orangutans, making a strong case for their protection.

Meanwhile, 'Dangerously Close - When Bears Attack' won in the 'Man and Nature' category. This film delves into the conflict between humans and animals, urging viewers to take responsibility. Both winners received a prize of 10,000 euros.
