The Federal Shooting Festival, themed "Federal Festival Mönchengladbach - Colorful like life," is set to take place in Mönchengladbach in September, with District Federal Master Horst Thoren as the host. This annual event, known for its unique mix of party, tradition, and church service, is eagerly anticipated by locals and visitors alike.

The festival promises a host of activities, including shooting competitions featuring local and national participants. While specific performers and participants have yet to be announced, it's expected that the event will be a showcase of talent and skill in the shooting sports.

Festival-goers can look forward to sampling local beers, as Brauereien Bolten and Bitburger have joined forces to offer a selection of brews that reflect the region's rich brewing traditions.

Organization of the festival is a collaborative effort between local authorities, cultural organisations, and shooting clubs, who manage logistics, security, and the overall program of events.

A key factor for the festival's success is moderate summer weather, with temperatures around 25 degrees, and the availability of delicious beer. The festival will be held under a giant umbrella with a 28-meter diameter and 6.50-meter height, along with smaller umbrellas on the Old Market, ensuring protection from the elements.

Approximately 1,200 guests can fit under the giant umbrella, and with an anticipated 15,000 shooters and another 30,000 visitors, it's advised to book accommodation well in advance, as some hotels in Mönchengladbach are already fully booked for the festival.

The Old Town innkeepers are running the giant beer garden, with the Old Town Event GmbH ensuring smooth operations. Jürgen Zimmermanns, organisational leader of the Gladbach Brotherhood, and Thomas Platzer from the marketing society MGMG, have coordinated the setup of the event sky with the authorities.

Music lovers can enjoy performances by Bands Remember and Just at the festival. The exact schedule and further details about the festival's lineup are yet to be announced, so keep an eye on local news sources and official event websites for updates.

With its blend of tradition, party, and church service, the Federal Shooting Festival is a unique celebration that encapsulates the spirit of Mönchengladbach. Whether you're a shooting enthusiast, a music lover, or simply looking for a fun-filled day out, this festival promises to be an unforgettable experience.

Festival-goers can enjoy entertainment by Bands Remember and Just, making the event a great combination of shooting competitions and musical performances. Additionally, local beers will be available for sampling, adding another layer of enjoyment to the celebration.
