So we a stadium in front of us and there are 6 players standing and we see 3 footballs over here, so this is a football match and we see a lot of spectators over here and they are wearing the raincoats and holding the umbrellas, so it might be raining over there and we see a lot of cameramen here, shooting the match.

Pitch unplayable: Schalke's Osnabrück test match cancelled - German football fixtures postponed as icy weather halts play across leagues

Winter weather has disrupted football fixtures across Germany this weekend. Several matches, including a friendly and league games, were called off due to icy conditions. Clubs now face rescheduling as temperatures remain low.

FC Schalke 04 cancelled their planned friendly against VfL Osnabrück after ice covered parts of the stadium and access routes. The pitch at Osnabrück’s Bremer Brücke Stadium was deemed unplayable, forcing officials to abandon the match.

The freezing conditions also affected league fixtures. Two Bundesliga games—FC St. Pauli vs. RB Leipzig and Werder Bremen vs. TSG Hoffenheim—were postponed due to unsafe playing surfaces. Meanwhile, VfL Osnabrück will travel to Alemannia Aachen for their next league match this Saturday. League leaders Schalke 04, currently top of the 2. Bundesliga, are set to face Hertha BSC in Berlin next weekend.

With multiple cancellations, clubs must now adjust their schedules. The icy weather has left pitches and stadiums unusable, delaying fixtures until conditions improve. Rescheduled dates for the postponed matches have yet to be announced.
