German football club FC Magdeburg has secured the signing of outfield player Kandet Diawara

FC Magdeburg Signs French Winger Kandet Diawara

  1. FC Magdeburg, a German football club with a rich history and notable achievements, has made a significant addition to their squad. Kandet Diawara, a versatile winger, has joined the club from France.

Diawara, born on February 10, 2000, in Lille, France, has signed with FC Magdeburg and will wear the number 39 jersey. The French-Guinean talent has a solid background, having played for the French U-18 national team and various youth teams, including RC des Bois Blancs Lille, Iris Club de Lambesart, and RC Lens.

In recent years, Diawara has been on the move, returning to France in July 2023 to play for Le Havre AC, with loan spells at Concarneau and Pau. He also had a stint in Cyprus, playing for PO Xylotymbou, APOEL Nikosia, and EN Paralimniou until 2023.

Markus Fiedler, Head Coach of 1. FC Magdeburg, believes Diawara's flexibility, speed, and one-on-one ability will fit well into their playing idea and help close the gap on the offensive wings. Otmar Schork, Sporting Director of the club, considers Diawara an exciting winger with good qualities in one-on-one situations.

Diawara's career in Germany began with the reserves at RC Lens, where he made his debut and played 32 games, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
