Alright, let's get down to business! Last month, from the 15th to 16th of March, 2025, the dance floor was sizzling in Wetzlar, Germany, courtesy of the Schwarz-Rot-Club Wetzlar e.V. They organized the German Championships, a charity dance gala famed for its top-tier dance quality and pumped-up crowd. And boy, did Schwarz-Weiß-Club Pforzheim, the fan curve from Pforzheim, and their couples not disappoint!
The Breakdown
The main event was the crowned jewel of the evening: the German Championship Main Group S-Latin. And guess what? Razvan Dumitrescu and Jacky Joos, our fearless Pforzheim duo, put on one heck of a show and bowled over the competition to secure themselves the title of German Vice-Champions and a spot in the European Championship in Calvià, Mallorca. On a side note, they were equally impressive in the German Championship U21 Latin, with our up and coming couple Maximilian Bier and Eveline Ishchenko also making it to the final out of 17 teams, nabbing the Vice-Champion title as well.
Yevgen Golovchenko and Evita Badt weren't too far behind, finishing in a respectable fourth place. Meanwhile, Karl-Heinz and Olga Karoulis-Schweiger from Schwarz-Weiß-Club Pforzheim snagged an impressive 6th place in the Master III S-Latin, rounding off this championship weekend in style.
