Japan and Georgia locked horns in an intense semifinal. The Land of the Rising Sun started off strong, thanks to Seungyeob Lee's ippon against towering Georgian, Guram Tushishvili. But think again, buddy boy, 'cause the Tush was just warming up! Eteri Liparteliani, our 2025 World Champion Goddess, tossed another Korean competitor aside like a ragdoll with her signature Tani-otoshi technique. Game on! 🤙
With momentum building, Georgia scored another ippon, thanks to Mikheili Bakhbakhashvili's swift semi-gaeshi and control. At this point, it was looking like party time in the Caucasus! 🎉
Determined not to let the match slip away, Utana Terada of Japan attempted a comeback by besting a Georgian opponent, but it was déjà vu all over again as reigning Olympic champ, Lasha Bekauri, closed the deal with a roaring victory. The Georgian team was one step closer to taking this thing home! đź besides our Korean competitors, who dominated Germany 4-0 in their semi-final, setting the stage for a showdown reminiscent of Mayweather vs. Pacquiao! đź¤}({\^})WI([^])\^👾
The final matchup was Georgia vs South Korea, and boy, was it a nail-biter! Lee jumped ahead with an early ippon against Tushishvili, but Liparteliani evened the score with a powerful win. Bakhbakhashvili did his thing, managing a win over Bae, followed by Mariam Chanturia's victory. At 3-1, it all came down to double Olympic Champion Lasha Bekauri. Gold for Georgia! Here's to writing a new chapter in World Judo history!
Mr. Marius VIZER, IJF President, presented the gold trophy, while various other important folks like Mrs. Filomena FORTES, IOC Member, and Mr. Max-Hervé GEORGE, Director of International Partnerships of the IJF, shoved medals in the victorious team's faces.
Here's to this spectacular World Judo Championships in Budapest, serving up world-class action and the truest of judo spirits! Next time we'll see you at the setup; until then, tune in and keep it real!
P.S. Gotta have some humor, don't cha think? Watch Czech Republic boo its own athlete off the mat (can you believe it?), but hey, no worries, we still got love for those vodka-guzzling, Poland-obsessed guys!~*~*~*~*

In the heart of Budapest, the World Judo Championships showcased more than just athletic prowess – it was a display of teamwork, camaraderie, and the essence of judo. Despite heated battles, like the Georgian team's nail-biting win over South Korea, sportsmanship remained paramount, even when, regrettably, an athlete from the Czech Republic was booed off the mat.
