Georgia’s aviation sector is growing at record speed. The country is actively expanding air links to attract more tourists and business travellers. New routes from Europe and Asia are set to strengthen its role as a key transit hub between the two continents.
In the first eight months of 2025, Georgian airports handled 15% more flights and 14% more passengers than the same period last year. Across Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi, around 700 scheduled flights now operate weekly.
The surge in air connectivity reflects Georgia’s strategic focus on tourism and trade. With more airlines adding routes, the country is positioning itself as a key link between continents. The expanded network aims to bring in more visitors and boost economic ties in the coming years.
