"Gen Z Criticism Countered by BJP": BJP responds to Rahul Gandhi's comments about Generation Z, following NSUI's loss in DUSU elections
In the bustling arena of Indian politics, a series of statements and counter-statements have been exchanged between key political figures, centring around the role of Generation Z in shaping the nation's political landscape.
The controversy began when BJP MP Nishikant Dubey posted on social media platform X, suggesting that Gen Z is against family politics, which was perceived as a jibe at Rahul Gandhi's political lineage. Notably, it was later revealed that the BJP member who made this statement was actually Smriti Irani.
Dubey further expanded on his views, stating that the Bangladeshi Gen Z wants to establish an Islamic nation, and Nepali Gen Z desires a Hindu Rashtra. However, Dubey clarified that the BJP would oppose a Hindu Rashtra if it is proposed to be included in the Constitution.
In a surprising turn of events, Dubey alleged that Rahul Gandhi wants to instigate civil war in India, is working with the Soros Foundation to divide the nation, and if Gen Z rises in India, the Congress and its allies would be seen absconding from the nation. These allegations were met with strong denunciations from the Congress party.
Rahul Gandhi, in response, accused unidentified individuals of large-scale voter deletions and called on Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to address the issue, claiming to possess '100 per cent proof' to back his assertions.
Meanwhile, Amit Malviya, BJP IT cell head, stated that the Gen Z admires a self-made leader like Prime Minister Modi. Malviya also claimed that the Gen Z is a harsh reality check for Rahul Gandhi, as the ABVP, the BJP's student wing, won the Delhi University Students' Union elections. Union Home Minister Amit Shah congratulated the ABVP for its victory.
Dubey reiterated his stance the next day, asserting that the Prime Minister is continuously striving for social change in the campaign against dynastic ideology and corruption, and that all dynastic politics will be out. He also claimed that the Gen Z in Nepal and Bangladesh were against nepotism and 'Parivarvaad'.
Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, made a press conference statement on Thursday, asserting that the nation's Gen Z would protect the Constitution, safeguard democracy, and resist electoral fraud. He emphasised the importance of preserving the democratic values that India has upheld for decades.
In the midst of these political exchanges, Dubey claimed that the BJP has no allegations of scams in the last 11 years. This claim, however, is a subject of ongoing debate among political analysts and the general public.
As the election season heats up, these statements serve as a snapshot of the dynamic and often contentious nature of Indian politics, with each party vying for the support and allegiance of the country's Gen Z population.
