The analysis, based on insurance contracts concluded via Verivox over the past 24 months, focused on the 100 most frequently insured vehicle models and 30 car brands in Germany.

Leading the pack is Porsche, with drivers of this luxury brand topping the list of traffic offenders. Chevrolet ranks a close third, while Tesla and Volvo follow in second and fourth place, respectively. The Audi A6 comes in as the second most commonly driven car by traffic offenders, with the Audi A5 taking the top spot nationwide. The Volvo XC60 rounds out the top three.

The city of Gelsenkirchen ranks fourth among the 30 largest German cities with drivers exceeding the average in traffic offenses. Drivers from Dortmund, Essen, and Bochum also show a higher-than-average number of traffic offenses. Conversely, drivers from Duisburg have below-average entries in the traffic register.

Interestingly, according to the statistics, Hondas are driven particularly often by law-abiding drivers. This suggests that certain car brands may be associated with more cautious driving habits.
