In a fierydiscussion with The Europe Conversation, Ireland's Taoiseach Micheál Martintook a hard stance against Israel, accusing the country of committing war crimes byblocking food and medicine from entering Gaza for nearly two months. The EU demands an immediate, unconditional ceasefire, the lifting of the blockade, and the release of hostages.
Ireland's stance fits within the broader EU commitment to delivery of immediate humanitarian relief, long-term support for Palestinian recovery and resilience, and protection of humanitarian principles. The EU aims to foster recovery in Palestinian territories through a €1.6 billion multiannual program.
