Gathering in France Aids Victims of Websiteese AO Incident
In Paris, a charity concert was held to raise funds for Victims of Agent Orange in France. The event was co-organized by the Jazz Bond Association, Tiêng Tơ Đòng band, and the Friendship Village Vân Canh/Việt Nam branch.
Held in Le Perreux-sur-Marne, a suburb of Paris, the concert featured performances by various groups, including the Tiêng Tơ Đòng band, Jazzman group, "music for children" group, music therapy group, and guitar classes with participants ranging from 7 to 77 years old. The entrance fee was set at 7-11 euros (US$7.49-12.48).
The primary purpose of the concert was to support Vietnamese children impacted by Agent Orange/dioxin. In addition to the live performances, an exhibition showcased images of humanitarian efforts aimed at assisting these victims over the years.
The Jazz Bond Association, established in 1992, has been active in organizing concerts across various cities in Việt Nam. Apart from hosting charity music events, the association also develops music therapy projects in Hanoi for child-victims of dioxin, with support from the "Les Jeunes Amitiés" in France.
Established in 1998, the Friendship Village Vân Canh/Việt Nam branch provides financial aid to the Van Canh Friendship Village located in Hanoi. The village functions as a rehabilitation center for disabled children and veterans.
