In a picturesque setting steeped in Outlander history, Hopetoun House in Scotland played host to a star-studded wedding last week. The bridegroom was none other than Richard Rankin, who plays Roger MacKenzie on the popular Starz series.

The ceremony was attended by several Outlander cast members, including Caitriona Balfe (Claire Fraser), Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser), Lauren Lyle (Marsali MacKimmie Fraser), John Bell (Young Ian), Joey Phillips (Denzell Hunter), Izzy Meikle-Small (Rachel Hunter), Caitlin O'Ryan (Lizzie Wemyss), and Paul Gorman (Josiah and Kezzie Beardsley).

However, Richard's on-screen wife, Sophie Skelton (Brianna MacKenzie), was unable to attend due to her current filming commitments for the sequel to I Can Only Imagine, which is being shot in Nashville.

Hopetoun House has been a regular filming location for Outlander, serving as the home of the Duke of Sandringham for the first three seasons and standing in for the Dunsany family's home in England's Lake District during season four. The grand estate is also open for private events like weddings and public tours, including an Outlander-specific tour.

Jamie Roy, who stars in the Outlander prequel, Blood of my Blood, was also in attendance at the wedding.

As for the future of Outlander, the eighth and final season is expected to debut either in late 2025 or early 2026.
