Embracing a burlesque atmosphere infused with music and entertainment, Munich's culinary spectacle "Teatro" celebrated its 20th anniversary with a twist. This time, Michael Käfer took the reigns of catering, replacing the decade-long collaboration with prestigious chef Alfons Schuhbeck. With a fresh start, "Teatro" Managing Director Maike Zipse declared, "The past was Schuhbeck, the future is Käfer."
Zipse, a long-time fan of Spiegelzelt, shared her emotional connection with the venue, "It's my life here, and I'm just happy the guests love it as much as I do."
The announcement of Schuhbeck's departure, following a three-year-and-two-month prison sentence for tax evasion, prompted anticipation for a new beginning. Television host Elton stated, "The bar was always set very high for what Mr. Schuhbeck did here." His absence was palpable during the premiere show, as Giulia Siegel, dating chef Ludwig Heer, reflected, "He won't be here to sing at the end."
Marianne Hartl, a folk music singer, expressed her teary-eyed affection for Schuhbeck and the Zipse family, but acknowledged, "The show must go on."
Filled with roller skaters, hoop jumpers, acrobatic performers, and entertainment musicians, guests can expect an exhilarating live show at the 2023 Munich Trade Fair.
