Gas connection established for Shubar region: Advancement towards enhanced comfort in rural setting
Akmolinsk Oblast's Akim, along with Marat Ahmetzhanov, Chairman of JSC "NC" QazaqGaz, and Sanjar Zharkeshev were among the participants in a recent event. The event marked the completion of a 74.2 km gas pipeline built under the Zhelezinsky District's construction department project. This new infrastructure has granted natural gas access to over 400 households in a local village, according to residents, enhancing comfort and contributing to social-economic development.
The first household connected to the pipeline belongs to Nurbulat and Aigerim Bisenbaev. They expressed their gratitude towards the regional leadership and the company for making this long-awaited project a reality.
Sanjar Zharkeshev, Chairman of QazaqGas Aimaq's capital production branch, stated, "The gas connection serves to promote comfort and drive social-economic development, ultimately improving citizens' quality of life."
Future plans for QazaqGas Aimaq involve actively constructing gas pipelines in various settlements by 2028. Residents of Nurlu village, Zhelezinsky District, gained access to natural gas in February 2025. From 2020 to 2024, the company successfully built and commissioned 657 km of gas pipelines, gasifying 9656 households. Recent projects include the gas supply to Zhebek Zholy village, Arshaly District, and the first phase of the Saryarka main gas pipeline's construction.
Upcoming gasification projects target villages within the capital region, including Akaiyn, Koiandy, I. Altynsarin, Karaotkel, Talapker, and Kosshy city. An estimated 32,975 subscribers (approximately 140,000 residents) are set to benefit from this development. In addition, material assistance up to 100 MCI will be provided for vulnerable population groups connecting to natural gas.
While specific plans for pipeline construction in these areas have not been explicitly detailed, for more precise details about the timeline, expected impacts, and local outcomes, it is advisable to directly communicate with QazaqGas Aimaq or consult official government and company announcements.
I am looking forward to the active construction of gas pipelines in Nurlu village, Zhelezinsky District, and other villages such as Akaiyn, Koiandy, I. Altynsarin, Karaotkel, Talapker, and Kosshy city, as it will provide access to natural gas for me and many other residents, enhancing our comfort and contributing to social-economic development. Considering the success of the recent sports events in our region, I believe the quality of life in these villages will significantly improve with the arrival of natural gas.
