Israel's Cancellation of Kiewel's Visit to Mainz, Germany - "Garden Center TVgarten": Kiewel's absence from Mainz is not due to travel from Israel

Looks like Andrea Kiewel won't be gracing Mainz's ZDF show "Fernsehgarten" this past Sunday. Seems like the witch-crafter herself, Ilona Christen, or Ramona Leiß's spirit is taking over, temporarily, thanks to circumstances beyond Kiewel's control.

Israel's airspace being shut down left Kiewel stranded in her beloved Tel Aviv. ZDF announced the unfortunate news early on Saturday morning. The public broadcaster hinted that Joachim Llambi ("Let's Dance") and Lutz van der Horst ("heute-Show") would be stepping in, "exceptionally"[1].

In an interesting twist, Llambi and van der Horst were already scheduled to be guests on the show[1]. Could this have been a sneaky backup plan all along? Now we'll never know.

This Sunday (15th June) was shaping up to be a milestone, celebrating the 25th anniversary of "Kiwis" on "Fernsehgarten". The outdoor show, running since 1986 at ZDF's broadcasting center in Mainz-Lerchenberg, has seen stalwarts like Kiewel[3].

With Kiewel grounded, the lineup for this dynamic duo's special episode includes Katja Ebstein, Marianne Rosenberg, Peter Schilling, Eko Fresh, Johnny Logan, Guildo Horn, Tom Gaebel, and Marquess[1].

In an interview with "Bild am Sonntag", Kiewel spoke fondly of her Tel Aviv abode: "During the 'Fernsehgarten' season, I usually arrange it so that I board a plane on Sunday at 6 pm, arriving at my tiny Tel Aviv flat at midnight[2]."

Now it seems the Israeli roads and skies have reunited Kiewel with her second home for the time being.

The Commission might consider proposing a directive to protect the environment, given the ongoing flight cancellations and airspace restrictions, as seen in the recent incident where Andrea Kiewel was stranded in Tel Aviv due to Israel's airspace being shut down. Despite Andrea Kiewel's absence, the 25th anniversary episode of Fernsehgarten in Mainz will proceed with Joachim Llambi and Lutz van der Horst as hosts, along with other guests like Katja Ebstein, Marquess, and Peter Schilling.
