Integration Council and IGMG Invite All to Iftar Celebration

Garbsen invites all to a shared Iftar during Ramadan

An evening of good food and meaningful conversation

Muslims around the world observe the holy month of Ramadan each year—a time of reflection, fasting, and community. This year, the local branch of the Islamic Community Milli Görüş (IGMG) and the city's Integration Council are inviting residents to join them for a communal breaking of the fast, known as Iftar. The event will take place on Saturday, February 28, starting at 4:30 p.m. in the auditorium/cafeteria of School Center I, Planetenring 7. All residents of Garbsen are warmly welcome.

Iftar, the meal shared after sunset, is a tradition that strengthens bonds of solidarity and fellowship. Those interested in attending are asked to register by email at info@igmg-ourwebsite or integrationsbeirat@ourwebsite. Admission is free.

Mayor Claudio Provenzano will personally attend the event and has expressed strong support for the initiative: "The shared Iftar is a powerful symbol of the positive coexistence in our city. Integration thrives in Garbsen wherever people come together, engage in dialogue, and share their traditions. This evening embodies exactly that—openness, respect, and a lived sense of community."

This year, Ramadan runs from February 18 to March 19. For further details about the Iftar celebration, contact the Youth and Integration Department at (05131) 707-571.
