Disrupted criminal syndicate active in over ten districts of Buenos Aires province: Police conduct 30 raids, apprehend 14 suspects.

Gang arrested for theft of luxury automobiles, production of fraudulent documents, and trading of auto components in Conurbano.

A clandestine operation, spearheaded by the Federal Criminal and Correctional Court No. 2 of Morón, has successfully dismantled a formidable criminal syndicate. This group was notorious for their illicit activities that included high-end vehicle theft, falsifying official documents such as IDs, Form 08, and the trafficking of auto parts.

The syndicate's operation was intricate, comprising three distinct groups. The initial group was responsible for the theft of luxury cars and motorcycles, while the second part forged the necessary documents to make the stolen vehicles seem legitimate. The third group handled the sales aspect, selling these stolen cars and parts in the illegal market.

The investigation leads by Judge Jorge Ernesto Rodríguez unfolded across various locations like La Matanza, Marcos Paz, Avellaneda, Escobar, San Vicente, Morón, Lomas de Zamora, Lanús, Tigre, and numerous CABA neighborhoods. During the 32 simultaneous raids, authorities seized 30 vehicles, firearms, cash, printers, blank forms, already forged documents, 2,000 tires, and over a million auto parts.

As investigations continue, researchers have their sights set on the seized cell phones and documents. These could potentially lead to more arrests and serve as evidence against the accused, who are facing charges for their roles in the illicit association, theft, forgery of documents, and alteration of license plates.

Recent reports highlight a local gang that engaged in tampering stolen vehicles and selling them with fake documents. Like a scene plucked straight from a high-octane action movie, the police pursued the suspects, culminating in the seizure of a gray Toyota Hilux pickup truck, five arrests, alphanumeric keys, a box with special tools, and a large amount of blank motor vehicle documentation.

The dismantling of these criminal syndicates doesn't come without its challenges, as the economic downturn and rise in crime have exacerbated the car theft crisis. However, law enforcement's coordinated efforts and dedication to tracking and seizing these networks demonstrate their commitment to making a difference.

The Federal Criminal and Correctional Court No. 2 of Morón's operation had also uncovered a connection between the notorious syndicate and the illegal sports-betting market, using the ill-gotten proceeds to fund their operations.

In the midst of investigating the syndicate's activities, a local news outlet reported a suspicious connection between some high-profile sports figures and general-news scandals, stirring growing concern regarding the blurring lines between sports and crime-and-justice violations.
