Ganduje Proclaims imminent entry of Sule Lamido into APC, debunks defeat fewer allegations

In the heat of political banter, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Chairman of Nigeria's ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), boldly declared that former Jigawa State governor and PDP heavyweight, Sule Lamido, is on the verge of joining the APC.

Edwin Olofu, Ganduje's Chief Press Secretary, affirmatively stated that reports suggesting Ganduje's planned defection to the PDP were nothing but baseless rumors.

In response to Lamido's comment about the APC's impending disintegration and future defectors' eventual return to the opposition, Ganduje confidently said, "The APC will soon welcome Sule Lamido," implying defector speculation was far from the truth.

Ganduje dismissively called Lamido's prediction of APC's downfall "illogical," and deemed the PDP a "failing opposition" with no appeal for him to consider a jump ship. Instead, he strongly believes the PDP, plagued with internal squabbles, will cease to exist by 2025.

However, it's crucial to mention that there's no concrete evidence supporting this claim regarding Sule Lamido joining the APC, and as it currently stands, Sule has not announced any plans to leave the PDP.

Meanwhile, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC has experienced an influx of high-profile defections from other parties, seemingly indicating the party's increasing influence [1][2][3]. Ganduje stated that with this overwhelming backing, the APC is determined to reinforce its gains and secure a landslide victory in the 2027 general elections.

Dismissing the notion that the APC is a mafia-like organization, as alleged by some critics [4], and emphasizing the need for internal party democracy and sustainable governance, Ganduje remains optimistic about the party's future.

Curiously, he doubled down on his assertion, claiming, "In fact, we will soon receive Sule Lamido because very soon he won't have anywhere to go; the PDP is dead."

Though this political dance between these two political heavyweights continues, the outcome remains uncertain, with more exciting twists and turns surely on the horizon.
