Publisher Saber Interactive confirmed the removal, stating that servers will remain operational so players can continue their blood-soaked battles against Deadites. They thanked the community for their support and praised the game as offering "the best multiplayer horror experience since at least Dead By Daylight."
Evil Dead: The Game first vanished from the Epic Games Store, PlayStation Store, and Steam—leaving players wondering if it was a unfortunate oversight or a strange reshuffling. However, Saber's post on Steam confirmed the takedown is intentional and involving all platforms.
