Djibril M'Bengue scored nine goals for Bergische HC, while Eloy Morante Maldonado netted seven for Eintracht Hagen. Notably, Maldonado missed seven-meter throws after an early injury to Noah Beyer.

The first half of the game saw a strong offensive performance from Eintracht Hagen, resulting in a 17:12 lead. Pütz mentioned 15 technical errors made by his team as a significant concern, while Prokopec believes that if Bergische HC can address these issues, they will be able to bounce back from this loss.

The game was attended by 2,098 spectators, including around 300 BHC fans, making for a lively atmosphere at the ISS Dome. Despite the loss, the spirit of the team and the support from the fans remain high, as both teams look forward to their next encounters.
