In a heartwarming display of support, SIG Sauer hosted its 9th Annual Honoured American Veterans Afield (HAVA) Charity Golf event on August 1, 2025, at Pease Golf Course in Portsmouth, N.H. The event, which saw over 192 golfers participate, was a resounding success, raising more than $160,000 for the cause.

HAVA, an organisation formed by companies in the shooting and outdoor industry back in 2007, has a mission to raise awareness and assist disabled veterans in their healing process. This is achieved through providing shooting events, guided hunts, and other outdoor sports activities. The organisation's efforts to get disabled veterans out shooting and hunting, and assist them in reintegrating after their sacrifices for the country, have been commendable.

This year, the event boasted an impressive lineup of 27 sustaining sponsors, including industry giants such as Smith & Wesson, Ruger, Hornady, Taurus, Mossberg, Federal Premium, SIG Sauer, the National Shooting Sports Foundation, Glock, Leupold & Stevens, Crimson Trace, Surefire, XS Sights, Academi, Arnold Defense, Crimson Trace, FMG Publications, Leapers/UTG, RSR Group, and Yamaha Outdoors.

Dozens of other firms also contributed to HAVA's cause, demonstrating a strong commitment from the industry to support our veterans. Governor Kelly Ayotte (R) made a proclamation recognising SIG Sauer for its outstanding support of disabled veterans, with Gov. Ayotte stating in the document, "I commend SIG Sauer, its employees, and all supporters of HAVA for their commitment to our veterans and to the values that define the Granite State."

Tom Taylor, HAVA chairman and executive director, expressed gratitude to SIG Sauer, event attendees, sponsors, and Governor Ayotte for their contributions. The charity event has raised over $800,000 in its nine-year history for the support of disabled veterans, making a significant difference in the lives of those who have served our country.
