The BFK Charity Golf Cup, an annual charitable golf tournament, took place at the 1st Golf Club Fürth this year. Organized by the Business Fan Club Kleeblatt Fürth, the event has been a significant contributor to social causes in the region since its first edition in 2019.

Over the past three years, the tournament has managed to raise approximately 20,000 euros in its latest edition, bringing the total amount generated to around 130,000 euros. The proceeds were equally divided between Stiftung Kleeblatt fürs Leben and Lebenshilfe Fürth, two local social institutions that support various social welfare and inclusion-related projects.

One of the key focuses of the event since 2019 has been on inclusion. This year, the tournament put a special emphasis on this aspect, with Lebenshilfe Fürth fielding its own team and actively involving people with disabilities in both competition and event support roles. The symbolic action at the start of the tournament, where participants knocked down a wall of cardboard boxes with footballs, signified the importance of participation and inclusion in society.

The event was highly praised by local officials, including Fürth's Oberbürgmeister Dr. Thomas Jung, who visited the tournament and acknowledged the example of lived inclusion. Nearly 80 hobby golfers participated in the event, demonstrating the community's support for this worthy cause.

The BFK Charity Golf Cup, with its combination of competitive golf and a strong social mission, continues to be a notable example of sports-driven community engagement in the Fürth region. The tournament's emphasis on inclusion of people with disabilities sets it apart, making it a significant event for promoting social cohesion and fostering a more inclusive society.

Golfers participated in the BFK Charity Golf Cup, not just for the sport, but also to support other local social institutions like Stiftung Kleeblatt fürs Leben and Lebenshilfe Fürth. This year, the tournament particularly highlighted inclusion, with Lebenshilfe Fürth fielding a team that included individuals with disabilities, and symbolizing the importance of participation and inclusion in society by knocking down a wall of cardboard boxes with footballs at the start of the tournament.
