Kulm (Switzerland) - It wasn't long ago that Davina Geiss scored a court victory against an online stalker. But this time, it's not just harassment on the line - it's death threats.

Here's what went down:

  • A 38-year-old man, reportedly suffering from paranoid schizophrenia and delusions, launched verbal attacks on Davina on Instagram, referring to her as a "dirty bitch" and a "slut," and reportedly threatened to stab her if he crossed paths with her.
  • Despite overwhelming allegations, the man received a five-month sentence and a fine of 45 daily rates, as reported by BILD.
  • Having served over 300 days in prison, the man will not only have served his time but can also expect a financial compensation of 12,600 Swiss francs.
  • Carmen Geiss, the family matriarch, is outraged, pointing out the dangerousness of the accused and questioning the integrity of the Swiss justice system.

Carmen Geiss and the Swiss Justice System: A Tumultuous Relationship

For Carmen, this development is beyond comprehension: "I can't believe it! A mentally ill, unpredictable man threatens our daughter Davina, and what does the court do? They even grant him a generous compensation!" exclaimed the 60-year-old in disbelief.

Even an expert witness during the trial remarked on the defendant's dangerousness and urged for commitment to a closed psychiatric facility, but it seems those words fell on deaf ears. "That doesn't matter to them. That's not justice!" Carmen says, lamenting the disappointing verdict.

The judge reportedly justified his decision based on the insufficient nature of the threats made by the accused to commit him to custody. Carmen, however, is growing increasingly frustrated, questioning: "Must someone die before something is done here?!"

As of now, the danger posed by the 38-year-old remains at large.

Possible Reasons for Compensating the Convicted Individual

  1. Legal Framework: In certain jurisdictions, courts can compensate individuals who have been wrongfully detained, subjected to an unfair trial process, or had their rights violated during the legal process. This is not necessarily a sign of the court condoning the individual's actions but acknowledging that the trial process may have been flawed in some way.
  2. Unusual Circumstances: The compensation could be tied to specific circumstances of the case, such as mistreatment during detention or procedural errors during the trial process.
  3. Misinterpretation or Misinformation: The information provided may be incomplete or inaccurate. Legal proceedings can be intricate, and without complete context, it's difficult to fully comprehend the court's reasoning. For a clearer understanding, it would be helpful to examine the specific legalities of the case or consult news sources offering a detailed account of the court's decision.
