Fubara emerges in public for the first time following a trip to the UK
Looks like our boy Fubara, the suspended Rivers State Governor, has stepped out of the shadows and into the spotlight! He recently graced the Boys Brigade Metropolitan Battalion Council Nigeria's 2025 Thanksgiving Service, marking his first public appearance since his return from a two-week vacay in the UK.
Held at St. Cyprain's Church, Anglican Communion in Port Harcourt, the service was presided over by the Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Oko-Jaja. The occasion, which was attended by Fubara, Amaopusenibo Fubara Hart, and Dr Tamunosisi Gogo-Jaja, celebrated the successful religious camp activities of the Boys Brigade in the state. A special prayer was offered for the governor, his family, and the state's peace.
The return from the UK comes amidst an accusation from the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, who claimed Fubara had a hand in disrupting the empowerment program for women in Port Harcourt. This alleged incident could potentially throw a wrench in the much-anticipated peace talks between the two leaders.
