CFC Coach Duda Steps Away from the Pitch for Seven Days on the Cape Verde Islands: "A Week without Soccer Needed!"
Frustrated Cape Verdean Fans Lament Lack of Football under Coach Duda's Reign: "Seven Days Devoid of Soccer!"
The CFC team is enjoying a four-and-a-half week layoff, and their head coach, 37-year-old Benjamin Duda, is making the most of it.
"I need at least seven to ten days away from football. I need to recharge my batteries, take a breather," Duda revealed in a candid interview.
To escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Duda finds solace on the sun-drenched shores of the Cape Verde Islands—his preferred destination to unwind and rejuvenate.
"I need at least a week in an all-inclusive hotel, where I'm taken care of, where the sun is sure to shine, where I have a beach and the sea, where I actually spend seven days lounging and only do a bit of sport so I don't put on weight," he explained.
As the team gears up for the new season, Duda plans to build upon the successes of the second half of the last season with his team. After losing their last league game in mid-March, the CFC fought three wins and six draws in the weeks that followed.
Currently, Duda is preparing measures on and off the pitch, ensuring his revamped squad is well-prepared for the new season. One or two new additions are still expected before the start of training on June 18.
The CFC roster has seen changes, with ten players leaving the club, and five new names joining, including Julius Bochmann, Jonas Marx, Johannes Pistol, Tobias Stockinger, and Maurizio Grimaldi. However, the specifics of Duda's vacation escapade remain unknown.
Following the preparations, the newly formed Duda team will face Rot-Weiß Erfurt in their first test match on June 27.
