The sudden departure of his brother Elmar Wepper (born 1944; deceased 2023) was undoubtedly a shock, "The finality of it all is the hardest part. Elmar had always been a constant presence in my life for as long as I can remember."
Fritz will need to continue hospital stays, but a small slice of time amidst the holidays is all his family needs - specifically Christmas Eve. The 82-year-old shared that he will be able to head home for a few blissful hours, surrounded by his daughter Sophie and the family of his first wife Angela (1942-2019).
