Apart from Werder, Leipzig, and Werner, his coaching team featuring Patrick Kohlmann and Tom Cichon, and a number of agents, needed to sign off on the agreement. "Delays like these can happen, particularly during the festive period," Fritz explains.

The deal opens up avenues for Werder to look ahead confidently. "We now have clarity and can concentrate on crucial matters," Fritz comments, also hinting at squad planning ahead of the next season.
He stresses, "Of course, the transfer fee boosts our finances, and cost savings mean we can shrewdly allocate these resources." However, Fritz is tight-lipped about the transfer fee's exact figure, with rumors pointing to an approximate 1.5 million euros. Bonuses might potentially enhance the total amount.
Though the precise total including bonuses hasn't been specified, the revealed initial transfer fee hovers around 1.5 million euros. The club's leadership vows to exercise prudence when spending the gained funds. "It's not as if we'd rush to spend the money right away," says Fritz. Instead, the management will exercise caution, "ensuring we don't take unnecessary risks."
