The Moorwerder Marksmen Club proudly presents its annual festival, a beloved tradition celebrating marksmanship, community spirit, and friendly competition. Join us from the 9th to the 11th of August for exciting events, family fun, and the crowning of the new Marksmen King and Queen!
Festival Schedule
Day 1: Opening Ceremony & Preliminary Competitions - 10:00 AM – Festival Opening & Welcome Speech - 11:00 AM – Preliminary Shooting Competitions Begin - 1:00 PM – Archery Demonstrations - 3:00 PM – Youth Marksmen Training Session - 5:00 PM – Traditional Folk Music Performance - 7:00 PM – Community Dinner & Social Hour
Day 2: Main Events & Final Competitions - 9:00 AM – Final Shooting Competitions - 12:00 PM – Lunch Break - 1:00 PM – Live Broadcast of the Bird Shooting and Brass Band Performance - 3:30 PM – Marksmen Skills Challenge - 5:00 PM – Announcement of New Marksmen King and Queen - 6:00 PM – Crowning Ceremony & Festivities - 7:00 PM – Live Band & Dancing - 10:00 PM – Fireworks Display - Following the fireworks, there will be a celebration in the "Partyland vol.5" with Steve Klaasen
Day 3: Family Day & Closing - 10:00 AM – Family Oriented Games & Activities - 12:00 PM – Community Picnic - 2:00 PM – Awards Presentation & Closing Remarks - 4:00 PM – Festival Concludes

New Marksmen King and Queen Proclamation
The highlight of the festival is the much-anticipated proclamation of the New Marksmen King and Queen. These prestigious titles are awarded to the competitors demonstrating exceptional skill, composure, and sportsmanship throughout the main competitions. The crowning will take place on the evening of Day 2, followed by celebrations with live music and dancing.
Additional Information
- The festival grounds will feature a cocktail bar, a fish stand, a veggie stand, and the reopened beer garden.
- The current marksman king, Hans Jürgen Heucke, will pass on his insignia to his successor on the festival Sunday.
- Kerstin, the marksman queen of Moorwerder, will also be present throughout the festival.
- Christian Plastwich is the chairman of the Moorwerder Marksmen Club.
