Freylinghausen Hall's Graduation Concert on Thursday is an event the city choir cordially invites you to attend.

The city choir is set to perform their end-of-year concert on June 26, at 7 pm, in the Freylinghausen Hall of the Franckesche Foundations. Under the direction of Clemens Flämig, the choir will be accompanied by pianist Axel Gebhardt.

The concert is part of the Cultural Theme Year "City of Bridges", which aims to highlight the city’s iconic bridges, their historical and economic significance, and their role in fostering cultural exchange and local pride. Although no formal linkage between the choir concert and the theme year has been confirmed, it is reasonable to infer that the concert will feature music celebrating the city’s heritage, unity, and bridges as symbols of connection.

The Franckesche Foundations, the location of the concert, is a significant cultural institution in the city. Works by Franz Schubert, John Rutter, Bruno Coulais, and others will be performed, promising a diverse and engaging repertoire.

The choir will bid farewell to singers from the 12th grade and welcome new young choir members. Admission to the concert is free, but donations are welcome at the exit. The concert is being held by our website (ps).

It is worth noting that while there is no widely recognized event known as the "City of Bridges Cultural Theme Year" in major global cities, references to "City of Bridges" often pertain to cities with significant bridge infrastructure that play important roles in their cultural identity and history.

Axel Gebhardt will still accompany on the piano, and no new performers or pieces have been announced for this concert. More details about the Cultural Theme Year "City of Bridges" have not been provided at this time.

We invite you to join us for an evening of beautiful music and celebration of our city's unique bridges at the Freylinghausen Hall on June 26.
