Fresh news about Karnivool, the Australian progressive rock group, unveiling their first album in a decade and three years!
After a decade-long hiatus, Australian progressive rock band Karnivool is set to release their new album, "In Verses", on February 6, 2023. The album, produced by Forrester Savell, is a culmination of the band's personal and musical experiences over the past decade.
The album's themes revolve around frustration, catharsis, and a rediscovery of identity. Karnivool's lead vocalist, Ian Kenny, describes one of the tracks, "Aozora", as a song about escaping, waiting to escape, and finding freedom amidst human complications.
Karnivool first revealed they were working on a follow-up to their 2009 album, "Asymmetry", in 2019. The new album will feature ten tracks, including the previously released single, "All It Takes", which was unveiled in December 2021. Other tracks on the album include "Ghost", "Drone", "Aozora", "Animation", "Conversations", "Reanimation", "Remote Self Control", "Opal", and "Salva".
Unfortunately, a tenth anniversary tour for their 2010 album, "Sound Awake", announced in February 2020, was cancelled due to the pandemic. However, the band has been livestreaming shows outside of their native Western Australia since 2021.
Fans can pre-order "In Verses" through Cymatic Records/Sony Music. The album artwork is also available to view. Karnivool has shared a brand new track, "Aozora", from their upcoming album, giving fans a taste of what to expect from the long-awaited release.
With the release of "In Verses", it will mark 13 years since the band's previous album, "Asymmetry", was released. This new album is sure to excite fans of Karnivool and progressive rock music alike. So, mark your calendars for February 6, 2023, and get ready to immerse yourself in the world of Karnivool's "In Verses"!
